Chemical Management for Textile and Leather Processors

1. Description:

• The Chemical Management for Textile and Leather Processors course is designed for processing facilities in the textile and leather industries, based on the digitized Suppliers Roadmap to Zero.
• This is an advanced-level course aimed at helping companies understand, implement, and strengthen chemical management systems at their facilities.
• The course is suitable for suppliers that manufacture materials used in finished products and operate chemical-intensive processes (wet processes) in their production facilities.

2. Applicable target groups include:

• Textile: + Accessories and trims processors + Garment washing (laundry) facilities + Fibre, yarn, or fabric processing mills (dyehouses) + Printing facilities (pigment/panel/digital/transfer) + Coating and/or lamination facilities + Vertically integrated mills + Sizing-only facilities + Down and feathers processors
• Leather:
  • Raw hide/skin to tanned leather processors
  • Raw hide/skin to crust leather processors
  • Raw hide/skin to finished leather processors
  • Raw hide/skin to pickled/pre-tanned leather processors
  • Tanned hide/skin to finished leather processors
  • Crust hide/skin to finished leather processors

5. Prerequisite:

• Participants must have at least one of the following certificates:
  • Chemical Management Fundamentals course certificate
  • Chemical Management Fundamentals Exam only certificate
• Or a valid certificate of one of the following courses:
  • CMS TIG Training
  • CMS TIG Refresher Training
  • Top 10 Best Practices (Note: Participants are required to submit the relevant certificate during registration. Those who do not meet the prerequisites will not be accepted into the course.)
