overview

The ZDHC MMCF Programme addresses the MMCF industry to improve the quality of discharged industrial wastewater, reduce production-related air emissions, and increase the substance recovery rates, pursuing a sustainable and circular approach.

This Programme encompasses the ZDHC MMCF Guidelines V2.2 as well as the ZDHC MMCF Module V2.0, organised within an Industry Standard Implementation Approach. These were designed to provide an integral framework and roadmap for the MMCF industry to improve their sustainable chemical management, including input, process and output.

The ZDHC MMCF Guidelines V2.2 have been adapted to achieve a high level of alignment with other relevant industry standards, such as the EU-BAT (BREF), and have been integrated into others, such as Canopy’s “Hot Button Report” and Textile Exchange’s upcoming “Materials Matter Standard.”

Lastly, while the MMCF Programme is centred around MMCF production, it addresses and requires the engagement of stakeholders throughout the whole MMCF supply chain to support its diffusion, implementation and impact.
