Feb 2026: The ZDHC Recycled Polyester Guidelines were published in 2024 together with the Industry Standard Implementation Approach, providing a framework to strengthen sustainable chemical management in recycled polyester production.

An updated version (V1.1) is available for download on the ZDHC website. The Recycled Polyester Module on the ZDHC Supplier Platform supports facilities in implementing these guidelines through a structured assessment process. The implementation phase began in 2025, and the module has now been launched and is open to polyester recycling facilities for taking the assessment.

This demonstration session provides guidance to polyester recycling facilities on accessing the module, navigating the self-assessment process, uploading evidence documents, and understanding key determining questions that shape the evaluation pathway.

  • Background of the Recycled Polyester Guidelines and Implementation Approach
  • Submission timelines and transition phase requirements
  • How to access the module by getting access to the ZDHC Gateway and then the Supplier Platform
  • Overview of the module structure (General, Input, Process, and Output Management)
  • Key applicability questions (feedstock, recycling processes, eg, mechanical, glycolysis and discharge type)
  • Submission process and certificate issuance
