Specifically designed by GIZ, this Climate Action Training is a trainer-guided course that helps you to achieve the industry’s climate ambitions and transition the supplier to a low-carbon business model.

With practical exercise and group work, it dives deep into the topic of climate change and provides garment, textile and footwear manufacturers with knowledge on the impact of the industry on climate change, energy efficiency and renewable energy, as well as practical expertise on greenhouse gases, GHG accounting and target setting.


target audience

This training courses are for Tier 1 and 2 suppliers of the textile, footwear and leather industry, specifically:

  • Top Level Management
  • Mid-Level Management
  • Technical staff who are responsible for implementing facility’s climate action plan.

Note: Prior to taking an in-person training, ZDHC Academy recommends you to take an e-Learning course, which is available on the Atingi Platform from GIZ: www.atingi.org. This is so you can acquire the basic understanding prior to the in-person workshop. You will be require to create an account on Atingi Platforml in case you don’t yet have an account there.
